The District Student Advisory Council (DSAC) for School District 57 met in the Board of Education's chambers on Monday to prepare for their upcoming mini-conference. This online event is being broadcast across the district, province and beyond as the area's students channel their knowledge and experiences into an anti-racism dialogue any classroom can join.
The students met with senior education officials to go over the agenda for the June 9 event. The discussion circled around timing, format, content and the technical tools involved in hosting an internet discussion. More meetings are planned despite the event being only days away.
On Thursday at 10:15am, you can join the meeting from the comfort of your own space. It is free and connects to the video series done by these DSAC students that got the anti-racism conversation going by depicting the voices of experience.
