Get a head start on the work based training component of your apprenticeship. Students who are between 15 and 19 years of age can gain valueable benefits by registering as a secondary school apprentice. Students are eligible to report any paid work they do with a qualified sponsor.
Youth Work in Trades (MWRK) is a course offered for students who are currently working in a trade with a certified journeyperson.
Secondary school apprentices can earn 4-credits for every 120 hours of apprentice work in their trade, for a maximum of 16 credit hours.
Students may also be eligible for a $1000.00 SSA award.
