Students in Grades K - 7 must be registered full time in Distance Education, and cannot be cross-enrolled in more than one school. With this in mind, please carefully review the information below before contacting CIDES to register your child.
The Elementary K - 7 program is a full year program. Students begin in September and must complete their grade by June 15 of that school year.
NOTE: Distance Education is not suitable for all students; and there are many factors to consider when you are educating your child in a distance education program. We recommend contacting our Elementary K - 7 Academic Advisor to discuss the pros and cons of the distance education program prior to withdrawing a student from his/her home school. The advisor can help determine if your child is well suited for this program.
After consulting with the advisor, an appointment will be arranged. Before your appointment, please ensure you have completed the following:
Download the Registration form, Parent Agreement and the Consent for Release form and fill them out.
Find the appropriate registration assignment for the student and complete before making an appointment.
Obtain the most recent report card from the student's current (home) school.
All students require a copy of their birth certificate and Care Card.
