Summer School 2018

Summer school classes will be held at Prince George Secondary School.

​​​School District No. 57 will be offering summer courses at no cost to students in grades 8-12.  All classes will take place at Prince George Secondary from July 4th to July 25th, 2018 starting at 8:50 am.  Due to the intense course content, studen​ts must be in attendance every day.  

Please Note: Some courses may not be offered if the enrolment is insufficient.

​8:50am – 2:40pm July 4th – 25th​

English -- 10 and 11
​Apprenticeship & Workplace Math -- 10 and 11
Foundations of Math and Pre-Calculus 10
Foundations of Math & Pre-Calculus Math 11
Science 10
Social Studies -- 10 and 11

​These courses can be taken by any student going into grades 10-12 with the appropriate completed pre-requisites.


Remedial Courses

July 4th – 18th, 2018 (40 hours of instruction)

Mathematics -- 8 and 9
Apprenticeship & Workplace Math -- 10 and 11
Foundations of Math and Pre-Calculus 10
Foundations of Math & Pre-Calculus Math 11
Science -- 8, 9 and 10
Social Studies -- 8, 9, 10 and 11

​These upgrading studies cover 60% of learning outcomes and are offered with transfer credit to all students REPEATING a course.  Students must present a report card with an original mark of 40% or higher (NO EXCEPTIONS). 

Notes:

  • Each student may enroll in ONE course.
  • Some courses may not be offered if the enrolment is insufficient. With this in mind, students should list a 1st and 2nd choice when registering.
  • Students must bring a copy of their last report card on the first day of class.
