All this is what leadership students have in store for the school community for the next 2 weeks.  The Tree of Warmth is ready for any warm donations of socks, mitts, gloves, scarves, blankets, or jackets - new or gently used.  December 11th is Christmas Spirit Day with prizes for most red, most green, brightest, most creative/unique and most colourful.  Pajama Day is December 18th.  We will go into the break well rested :).  Lastly, we heard there is an elf trying to get into the school.  We will be on the hunt for this elf.  It should be a wonderful 10 school days to Winter Break.

​Students are encouraged to have fun reading in a different way.  Students can choose one of 12 ways to read each day.  More than one way can be done on any given day. The goal is to read for a minimum of 20 minutes per day between now and December 18th.  Prizes can be won. Students can get their entry form from the Library/Learning Commons if they want a chance at a prize.  The 12 ways of reading include: read to a stuffed animal, read to someone on the phone/FACE Time/Zoom, read under a table, read while wearing a hat, read to a family member, read on the couch, read in your pajamas, read at school, self-choice, read a book on Tumblebooks (access at www.dlc.sd57.bc.ca), read in your bedroom, self-choice again.  The choices are endless.  Have fun!
