Bill Burnyeat of Canadian Planetariums visited our school on April 9 and 10. He hosted lessons about the night sky to all divisions and the Early Learning Centre.
Recently, Terry McClymont of R.E.A.P.S. visited Mrs. Kerrigan's class to carry out a salmon dissection. Students got to see and touch the internal organs. Comments ranged from "Awesome!" to "Gross!".
Div. 1, 2, and 3 all have new Smartboards in their classrooms. Our old Smartboards are single touch (one person at a time). The students are excited to be using the new ones, which are multi-touch!
The PAC sponsored Lego Night on April 14 had over 40 entries. Thanks to the PAC and to Gingerbread Toys for the generous donation of prizes. Each student had their name entered in a draw, and each student left with a prize. Thanks also to the Prince George Adult Lego Club for their participation!
Our Salmon Mural is now on permanent display at the office. Check it out!
