Mackenzie Schools Ecology Program

In collaboration with Janie Dubman from Wildlife Infometrics, Morfee Elementary students benefit from a local ecology program. School funding, Grant funding, PAC and volunteer support are integral in the delivery of this program.

Below is a description of the programs students participated in during the 2016-17 School Year


Student Leadership

Student Leadership is ran by Ms. Logan & Ms. Appleton. The Leadership Club is an opportunity for grades 4-6 students to practice leadership skills in many areas. Some of those areas may include: 

  • Planning and executing special school events (i.e. spirit days)
  • Helping with school issues (i.e. garbage on the playground)
  • Modelling leadership skills with younger students (i.e. lunch monitoring)
  • Educating the student population about important issues
