βAn Area-wide Emergency Notification was sent earlier this afternoon regarding an incident in Vanderhoof (which has since been resolved). This resulted in the school threat assessment protocol being activated. This was a precautionary measure only as the incident was not in our area and was not one that posed a significant risk to students or staff. However, as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment, we take all issues that may affect school safety seriously. Rest assured; our schools are safe.
βSD57 Ventilation System Overview - Nukko Lake.pdf
Please ensure you are going through the Daily Health Check with your child before sending them to school each morning; watch for key symptoms such as: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell or taste, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
Students will wash their hands prior to riding the bus each morning, upon entering the classroom and frequently through out the day. Students in Divisions 4 and 5 will each receive a mask to wear if they choose to or they can wear one from home. There are two learning groups at our school. Within learning groups, physical contact will be limited. Outside of learning groups, physical distancing will be encouraged.
Students will wash their hands at the end of the day, prior to boarding the bus.
