It is a very exciting time to be involved in education. It is a privilege to come to work each day and help to facilitate the learning of today's students. There are many unique and exciting opportunities for the students of Prince George Secondary School. Within our classrooms, teachers are increasing the use of personalized and project based learning. As a school we have a number of systems that support academic success. These include; Learning Assistance specialized programming, daily Learning Support at lunch and after school, Wednesday Teacher and Student Learning time – complete with learning support, and interim review and follow up. Beyond the school day – the number of extracurricular activities continue to grow. Athletic activities include; cheerleading, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, rugby, wrestling, snowboarding, tennis, golf, cross country, track and field, football, soccer and I have probably missed a few. The list of clubs includes: Aboriginal Language and Culture, LGBTQ, Animal Rights, Writing, Speech, Justice League, Free the Children, Because I am a Girl, and many more. As you can see, at PGSS there truly is something for everyone and an opportunity for every child to be successful.
