School District No. 57 (Prince George) would like to thank parents and community members who attended the recent information sessions regarding the recommended catchment changes for Edgewood Elementary School and Spruceland Traditional Elementary School.
Trustees from the Board of Education appreciate the public feedback and will take it into consideration before a final decision is made.
Anyone who was unable to attend the information sessions, or has further questions or concerns, is invited to contact the Board of Education via email.
For members of the Edgewood community, the email address is email@example.com
For members of the Spruceland community, the email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
A report to the district's Education Services Committee, issued by the Catchment and Capacity Review Stakeholder Advisory Committee, recommended moving Edgewood and Spruceland from the Duchess Park Family of Schools to the D.P. Todd Family of Schools. The Education Services Committee supported the recommendation and it has been accepted by the Board of Education.
Grade 7 students leaving Edgewood Elementary and Spruceland Traditional Elementary in June 2020 would attend secondary school at D.P. Todd Secondary instead of Duchess Park Secondary in September 2020.
