Courtesy One-Day Permission to Ride the Bus - Not available due to COVID

In order to access this service, students currently registered and attending CHSS are required to provide a note to the office signed by the parent/guardian, stating the date and the reason for the request. The school will keep this note on file and provide the student with a signed "Courtesy One-Day" rider permission slip to be given to the bus driver. The bus driver will refuse any non-registered rider without an authorized note for the school.

A registered bus student who normally takes the bus must present a signed "Courtesy One-Day" rider permission slip from the school indicating that the school bus received a written request from the student's parent/guardian giving permission to disembark at an alternate bus stop. If a student does not have a School Bus "Courtesy One-Day" rider permission slip from the school, the driver will not let the student off at an alternate stop but will return him/her to the regular bus stop

Requests for a new bus stop or change of a present bus stop:  School Bus Route Stop/Change Request Form can be obtained from your school's office and are also available on the school district website http://www.sd57.bc.ca/Parents/Transportation/Pages/default.aspx

Requests are based on the current practice of a minimum .8km distance between stops, appropriate sight distances for visibility, and a thorough analysis of potential hazards and other relevant factors.  Please be advised that new routes or route extensions are not considered for less than 8 students.

Requests for new stops or route changes for September must be sent to School District No. 57 (Prince George) Transportation Department on or before the beginning of June.  All requests are subject to the approval of the District Principal, Transportation.

If you have questions please contact your child's school or the Transportation Department at 250-561-6802.
