Dear parents and families of the grad class of 2022,
We are pleased to share that we are planning for a regular, in-person, full-capacity valedictory ceremony at the Civic Centre on Thursday, June 2. For your planning, please note that each student will receive 4 tickets, and may access up to four more, for a total of 8 tickets (if your family requires less than 4, your graduate is requested to return what they don't need so they could be passed on to others). Once all these tickets have been handed out, students who need more than 8 tickets will be able to request more from Ms. McInnis in the office.
By now, those intending to participate in the valedictory ceremony should have handed in the green intent-to-participate form and paid the $100 grad fee at the office. Please check with your child to ensure it has been handed in. We have been trying to get in touch with all those still missing the forms, which were due at the beginning of December. There are still around 60 potential grads who have not handed in the green form and/or have not paid their grad fee. Please contact your student's counsellor (contact info below) if your family requires assistance with the grad fee.
If you know that your child is not intending to participate in the ceremony, please have them let their counsellor know so we can remove them from the list.
There will be a grad meeting for students at 2pm in the theatre on Wednesday, May 18. All grade 12 students must attend. We will be going over important information regarding the valedictory ceremony and ensuring students are meeting requirements to earn their Dogwood certificates. Tickets will be handed out at this time.
