Message from First Student regarding the cancellation of their runs in Prince George and Mackenzie for the afternoon of Thursday, February 2nd:

Dear Parents and Guardians of SD 57,

Due to the ongoing road issues, from this weather system we will not be able to  resume service this afternoon.  We have had our teams out doing a risk assessment on the roadways and side streets and many still have not been plowed. We have received an update from YRB, and whilst the major highways and some roads have been plowed the excess amount of snow, and narrowing of these routes have made it very dangerous to navigate.

We will be resuming service as normal tomorrow, if there is any changes to your child’s route we will keep you informed.

We thank you all for patience and understanding.

Regards,

The First Student Prince George team.

Online "Regular" Bus Registration Form **For Bussing to and from home and school only.

First Student will be emailing the parent/guardian of students registered for bussing for the 2022-23 school year with the student's  bus stop times and locations during the week of August 29th.  Also, the run sheets will be posted to each of the bussing school's website.

Courtesy Bussing:

Courtesy bussing will be accommodated in accordance with Policy 17 School District Transportation Services and Administrative Procedure 560 Student Transportation - Home and School.

A driver shortage that is being experienced across Canada has resulted in the necessity to combine some routes in order to transport as many students to/from home as possible. This has resulted in a low capacity to accommodate courtesy riders on at this time.  Once First Student is able to provide bussing to all students that qualify for regular bussing to/from home and school the district will proceed with its review of courtesy bus requests. Thank you for your patience.

Online "Courtesy" Bus Registration Form **For Alternate Family Residence, Child Care, etc.
