Mission Statement
PGSS
High Performance Hockey strives for excellence - Excellence on the ice, in the
classroom, and in the community. A positive attitude, strong work ethic,
commitment, individual improvement and positive interactions with others are
the cornerstone of athletic excellence and the foundation of a quality person.

PGSS
Polars Hockey caters to ability levels ranging from beginner to high
performance, and courses are available to all students in grades 8-12.
PGSS hockey equipment is provided for any student wishing to participate in the
beginner or intermediate Program.
The
Beginner program caters to students who would like to learn the basic skating,
stick handling, shooting, and rules of ice hockey.
The
Intermediate program is for proficient skaters who want to continue to improve
individual skills and learn team concepts by participating in game play
activities.
The
High Performance (HP) acceptance process is by application and invite. The HP
stream offers 4 courses that are open to Bantam rep, Midget Rep, male and
female Major Midget hockey players. This comprehensive program is both
semesters and includes a rigorous on ice skill development drills, dry land
activities, PE units, and in class courses such as nutrition, leadership, and
personal fitness that are essential to the development of elite athletes.
