District Sustainability Committee Report
Feb. 1 - At its Jauary 26 public meeting, the Board of Education agreed to consider the recommendations contained in the District Sustainability Committee's report, including the recommendation to close 14 schools in the district.
Final decisions regarding school closures will occur at the Board Meeting of Tuesday, March 30. Schools slated for closure would close effective September 1, 2010.
A public consultation meeting will be held in each school being considered for closure. Click here for the schedule and other information.
Feb. 9 - A public consultation meeting related to the proposed amalgamation of the district's three French Immersion programs has also been scheduled. Click here for details.

Aboriginal Choice School
Jan. 27 - At last night's public meeting, the Board of Education received the report of the Aboriginal Choice School Development Committee regarding the establishment of an Aboriginal Choice School at Carney Hill Elementary.

Foundation Skills Assessment
The annual B.C. Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) for all grade 4 and 7 students is set to take place between January 18 and February 26, 2010.

Student Transfer Process
The Student Transfer Process will begin on April 6, 2010 at 9:00 am and close on April 13, 2010 at 3:00 pm. More information will be provided shortly.
